You're not imagining it

Hey Reader!

I want to tell you something I wish someone had told me about twenty years ago.

You're not failing. You've just been given the wrong information — over and over again — and blamed yourself every time it didn't work.

I was put on my first diet at 10 years old. Weight Watchers. I spent the next 32 years trying everything — keto, fasting, no grains, no sugar, fat burners, a health coach who had me eating only lemons and limes as fruit. I had actual anxiety if I wasn't done eating by 6:30pm.

I was doing everything right. By every rule I'd ever been given, I was doing everything right.

And I was exhausted. Not just physically. Exhausted from the confusion. From starting over. From the week going perfectly and then loosening up a little on the weekend and feeling like I'd undone everything because I was so restricted with rules. From eating "clean" for months and watching the scale sit completely still... or go up.

If that sounds familiar — I want you to know something.

That's not a willpower problem. That's not a discipline problem. That's not your hormones (this is good news!), your age, or your body working against you.

That's what happens when someone has been given rules to follow instead of the actual information she needed.

I'll be in your inbox a few times this week. I have something I want to share with you before I make an announcement on June 1 — and I think it's going to land differently than anything you've read in a while.

They're worth reading, I promise.

I help women 40+ finally understand how food works — without another diet. I lost 50 lbs at 42. Now I teach women the stuff nobody taught us.
